How I Met Your Mother’s out star Neil Patrick Harris and his long-time partner David Burtka (both pictured) are now the proud parents of twins.

A surrogate carried the baby boy and girl, who were born on Tuesday October 12.

Harris, 37, told his fans on Twitter about the births. “All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey,” he typed.

Like so many Hollywood celebs, Harris has also reacted to the death of a number of gay teens last week with his own message of support for young people in crisis.

“Let me assure you, if you’re getting bullied and feeling like you’re on the outskirts, it gets better. Because, when you get older, you find that people are actually drawn to individuals with different points of view who are proud of who they are and who make interesting and different and unique choices for them – at least I am.”
