British ‘90s superpop group Steps have performed together for the first time since they acrimoniously split over a decade ago.

All five of the original Steps crew – ‘H’, Lisa, Lee, Claire and Faye – did their song The Way You Feel Me Feel on a TV chat show this week.

The 5-five pop band have also announced a new Greatest Hits CD, featuring a brand new track – a cover of ABBA’s hit Dancing Queen.

They’re also doing huge tour of the UK for April next year, even doing London’s massive O2 Arena.

Steps – who’ve been summed up as “Hi-5 for adults” on our Same Same Forum – were created in 1997 and before they split in 2001 they sold more than 15 million records, and achieved 14 consecutive Top 5 singles in the UK.

Since leaving the band, the five Steppers have had varying careers. ‘H’ came out as gay in 2007, then appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. Lisa had her own ill-fated reality TV show, Lee now owns a fitness web magazine, Faye got lots of work on stage doing musicals, and Claire married and is raising two young kids – while her weight gain was highlighted in a TV special called My Big Fat Wedding!

All five bandmates say they’ve been repeatedly asked in recent years when they were going to reform.

See Steps’ latest TV performance, and a new interview with the band below.
