Glee singer Rachel’s gay adoptive dads will at last be revealed in an episode now being filmed – and one of them will be played by Jeff Goldblum.

The musical show’s star Lea Michele tweeted the photo above, showing fans her character’s fathering duo at last.

Since then, Jurassic Park and Independence Day star Goldblum has been seen on set filming with other dad Brian Stokes, who’s a Broadway veteran.

The episode is titled Heart and will be screened in the US on Valentine’s Day. Aussies can see it a few days afterwards on Ten.

Glee is among the nominees just announced by America’s GLAAD (the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) in their annual awards, given out to media which do a great job at representing LGBTI people on screen. TV’s Modern Family and movies Albert Nobbs and Beginners are also among the nominees.

The creator is gay himself and I guess he wants to do something a little different. Plus I don't think these two will be hanging around longer than a single episode.

I am loving glee even more, In the beginning, it was just kurt that we saw who was gay, then in season two there was brittany who is bisexual, santana who is a lesbian, david krofski (kurts bully) who is a closeted gay, and of course the best charecter (in my books) Blaine, now in season 3 we have sebastian, and racheals dads.

I am however trying to ignore the fact, that in the first episode of glee, it showed racheals dads in photos, which was a jewish guy and a black guy. I cannot wait till glee returns, although I have already seen the "I kissed a girl" episode and it is pretty good :D

Enough with the gay plot lines already - as a homo myself Im all for more mainstream shows having gay charcters/plots but this is just getting too much. What about all the other charcters from 'minority' groups and the issues they face? That was what attacted me to the show as it was for all walks of life . Its got too gay for me

but, I do have to say that ryan murphy has had this all plotted since day one, when you watch the first season you can see the little hints here and there

i stopped watching glee when everyone else started watching it. coz im a trendsetter.. nobody does it better!

pfft palease, I would agree that season 2 was a little bit on the silly side, but it is really getting back onto the real core of their lives not just on the surface

Plus isn't it all just stereotypical gay stuff? Like the main character.

I don't get the hype with Glee. I remember when it came out and all everyone talked about was "Glee this...Glee that" so I watched an episode and couldn't understand why it was so deserving of its hype..

lol wow! That's fantastic..that way nobody will be offended and everyone can relate to these characters because of their skin colour/religion/sexuality/whatever :rolleyes:

Whilst on the topic of TV shows, I rarely watch TV and aside from old Simpsons episodes, South Park, American Dad and Family guy, I won't go out of my way to watch anything else. I use to watch 30 rock and that was just awesome.

left me a little confused, I like the idea of jeff goldblum but I thought the dads would have been younger looking at the origional dads, but I am excited to see this episode, and also I do want to see smash :)

Gay/bi characters on Glee: Kurt, Blaine, Dad1+2, Santana, Brittany. Karofsky.

Straight characters: Will, Emma, Puck, Lauren, Rachael, Finn, Mercedes, Sam, Tina, Mike, Artie, Sue, Figgins, Coach Beiste, All the other parents, the football team, the hockey players.

Not that many gays really.

Which one is African American? Did he try skin bleaching between the first season and now? (judging by the first pic he must have!)
Seriously, I love Glee for the music, the occasional moments of very silly high drama and for the hot girls in cheerleader outfits having eyesex across rooms and during songs.

I hate Glee because: it is poorly written. the characters do out of character things solely to have a reason for another song.
Plots get picked up and then dropped hard.
Brittany and Santana get to have lots of innuendo but are still yet to kiss onscreen.
Finn is the worst dancer and singer out of all the boys, yet gets to sing lead all the time.

For some reason guy/girl duets must always be between people who are dating, or who want to date each other.
Tina hasn't done anything for 3 seasons except sway in the background.

Maybe I should join a glee forum? lol

I just have a lot of feelings.

I guess this gives the saying 'Daddy's Little Girl' a whole new twist.
Jeff Goldblum looks ill, though. I hope he's OK.
I don't think 'gay as mainstream' will ever be really accepted, though, in terms of TV viewing. It'll be 'spot the celebrity cameo' tokenistic chutzpah we'll get served up. Hyper femme or schlocky 'we're the friendly homo couple in your neighbourhood fixated on decorating and/or trying too hard to fit in.' I'm not being cynical, Glee is very American, that's all. I think an Australian version of Glee is called for. A 30 minute episode 5 nights per week like Neighbours or Home and Away. Set in a suburban high school in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. Get Channel 7 to buy the rights of 'Fame' or something. I miss Heartbreak High....we need something like that again....truly.
