Actress Cybill Shepherd is the latest celebrity to stand up for equal marriage.
The former Moonlighting star also played college dean Phyllis Kroll who came out as lesbian in later life in the final seasons of The L Word.
Now she’s supporting the Americans For Marriage Equality lobby group, part of the Human Rights Campaign.
“Why would the government think that I am more deserving than a gay or lesbian couple? Just because I’m straight? That doesn’t make any sense,” she says in the video.
“I believe we are all equal in the eyes of the law. Therefore we all deserve marriage equality.”
