The Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons has confirmed what a lot of people thought when he thanked a guy called Todd at the Golden Globes in 2010 – he’s gay and in a long-term relationship.
Parsons, 39, came out subtly via a New York Times profile, which says “Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year relationship,” noting that the actor chose to appear in an HIV/AIDS themed play because the topic resonated with him – he plays a young gay activist in the production.
He’d previously skirted around journalists’ questions about his personal life.
His character Sheldon is arguably the break-out star of the successful geek-following sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Watch him in action below.
