Gay Zach Firms Up To Win Big Brother

The odds for gay intruder Zach to win the latest series of Australian Big Brother have firmed up from 16-1 last week to around 2-1 this week, according to Lasseters betting agency.

Zach is now neck to neck with popular housemate Aleisha to take out the seventh series of the show, and his popularity graph on the official Big Brother website has gone through the roof in recent days, with 40% of viewers now rating him their favourite.

Openly gay Zach’s odds were originally as high as 67 to one to take it out when he first entered the house as an intruder and announced that he made corsets for a living, but the more the country has got to know him, the more people think he should be the one to take it out.

With four housemates remaining in the Gold Coast compound, the campaign for him to take out the title is starting to rev up. The highest rating FM radio breakfast hosts in Sydney, Kyle and Jackie O, have launched a campaign for Zach to win.

His mother Donna spoke to them on air this morning. “He went in there to prove that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, you should read a few of the pages before you make up your mind.”

Host Kyle Sandilands, who spent some time in the Big Brother house a few weeks back and gravitated towards Zach, said “it would be nice for a gay intruder to win once….this is like running for President, you need to focus on who you want to win. We need to come up with some sort of slogan.” Kyle’s suggestion of “Zach attack” didn’t go down too well.

Zach’s mum said camp, blonde Zach always stood out. “Just before he boarded the plane to go into the house, he rang me and said ‘I’m ringing to say I’ll make you proud. I’ll see you in 2 weeks!’ He thought he’d be out straight away.”

If he does win the prize money of almost $500,000, Zach would be the first intruder and the first gay male to win Big Brother.
