Girls Just Wanna Have Fun At Mardi Gras

Cyndi Lauper, the iconic American Grammy Award-winning singer and gay icon is coming to Sydney for the 30th Celebrations of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in 2008.

The pioneer of the New Wave sound had many hugely successful singles around the world, from karaoke classic “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” to “Time After Time” and “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” (ok, well maybe not quite that one).

Most recently, she has been headling the True Colours Tour around the US, along with Deborah Harry, Erasure, The Dresden Dolls, and Gossip, with Margaret Cho as MC, as well as hitting up the clubs in Ibiza.

To celebrate this occasion, Same Same presents a video megamix of Cyndi Lauper’s Greatest Hits, including Someone Like Me, Time After Time, Come On Home, Walk on By, When You Were Mine, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Shine. Enjoy!

Last years Mardi Gras was my first and I thought it was pretty ordinary and swore that I wouldn't go again. But now that I know Cyn's is going to be there, I'll be there with bells on..
