ARIAs Over For Another Year

Last night it was all about Silverchair at the 2007 ARIA Awards. They were nominated for five awards, and they won them all, taking their overall award total to 19 with wins for Best Group, Single of the Year, Highest Selling Single, Best Album and Best Rock Album.

Aussie success story Sneaky Sound System were nominated for six awards, and won two of them – Best Dance Release and Breakthrough Artist (album).

Powderfinger received a swag of nominations, but Silverchair proved to be too strong this year.

Nicole Kidman accompanied hubby Keith Urban to the event, and was snapped swanning along the red carpet with Delta Goodrem.

Best Female Artist was taken out by Missy Higgins and Sarah Blasko won Best Pop Release for What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have. Also, Nick Cave was inducted into the Hall Of Fame.
