Tim Campbell Comes Out

Another star comes out of the closet – former Home And Away star Tim Campbell has come out to The Advertiser, after it was rumoured that he was shacking up with Anthony Callea.

He says that while he and Anthony have both recently found themselves single, they’re only friends, not partners.

“Anthony’s had his rough trot, I’m going through a rough trot and I’m really concerned for my (ex)... Part of me will probably always love him because 11 years is a lot to share with each other.”

Tim says that he’s not ashamed of his sexuality, given that he’s in his thirties now. “I’m pretty comfortable with who I am and what I’m doing,” says Tim, “But I don’t want my work to be affected.”

Career wise things are looking up for Campbell. He’s just finished an onstage stint in the musical Rent, where he met Anthony, he’s also preparing for his upcoming role as Johnny O’Keefe in Shout.

He’s also the darling of Channel Seven it would seem, working on both Home and Away and National Bingo Night. According to News.com.au he’s also tipped to replace Daryl Somers as the host of Dancing With The Stars.

Well I think that it's great. The more visible we are, the better. I don't mean hit-em-over-the-head kind of visible, I mean just being here.

oh my goodness... its such a surprise shock because I always had a feeling he was one of us and thought "don't be so silly" and now I read this info... maybe I should listen to my gut feelings. Sigh... I like him alot... wish him well with live and talents. We need him to be who he is and its comforting to know that he so cool about it. Woo hoo! :-)
