Deborah Hutton Speaks Out
One of the juiciest pieces of gossip was last year’s outing of Deborah Hutton – the story of her break-up from long-term girlfriend Danni Roche broke back in July.
Recently Lawrence Money and Suzanne Carbone from Melbourne’s The Age looked back over 2007, citing Hutton’s outing as one of their major stories of the year.
“Reports that delicate Deb had split with a girlfriend brought fierce condemnation from (of all people) Harry ‘Motormouth’ Miller who, after a lifetime of haggling money from the media, condemned the ‘vicious rumour and speculation’ in the media about her private life. Yeah, right,” they said.
However Deborah has been tight lipped about her sexuality, until now. In a recent interview with Australian Women’s Weekly she was asked what she likes to do on a lazy Sunday morning. She took the opportunity to slip in an oblique heterosexual reference, saying that she likes to “hang out with [her] man doing exactly that… being lazy, [reading] the remainder of Saturday’s papers and making scrambled eggs!”
Her man? Surely that wasn’t said with a straight face.
Hutton also said that her motto in life is to live each day as if it’s the last. Hardly rings true though, does it?
