Bring On Babydoll!
Ladies, the girls from ZIP are back after a short winter break and they’re heading west. DJs Fiesty, Mandy Rollins and Sveta bring you their new night – Babydoll. It kicks off at Hermann’s Bar on the corner of City Road and Butlin Avenue, Newtown, on Saturday 26th January.
The girls call Babydoll “a gathering of dykes, baby dykes, lippies, lessos, butch babes, biker molls, skater chix, good grrls, bad bois, bmx bandits, femme fatales, bi girls, leather girls, tattooed trans, drag kings, queer kids and all lovers of the sexiest girl beats in town.” Excited yet?
DJs Feisty, Mandy Rollins and Sveta are the undisputed queens of Sydney’s queer underground and they’ll be mixing up a feast of sexy house, chunky tribal, twisted electro and kinky mash-ups to spice up your long-weekend celebrations.
“Our events have always been about providing an alternative to the straight out top 40 sounds that dominate the clubs. We like to put a twist on the usual sounds because the girls have always been open to that and are adventurous enough to try out new venues too. It makes sense to take Babydoll to the inner west because that’s where so many of us live and Hermann’s is the kind of venue we’ve been looking for,” says Fiesty.
