Take Shelter With Us At MQFF

It’s time for a little bit of fun in Melbourne.

We’re hosting a special Same Same Culture Club screening of the brand new film Shelter on Friday March 14 as part of the official program of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival – and you’re invited!

A favourite on the film festival circuit (it has already won the Audience Award for Best Film at the Seattle and Tampa Gay & Lesbian Film Festivals), Shelter is a powerful coming of age story about surfer Zach, his growing relationship with his best friend’s brother and his maturing journey along the way.

We’re presenting a screening of Shelter at the ACMI Cinemas as part of the official MQFF program. The Same Same Culture Club of Shelter screening starts at 8:15pm on Friday March 14, followed by drinks in the ACMI lounge after the screening to discuss and dissect the film, and meet some fellow Same Samers.

Tickets to Shelter on Friday March 14 are $16 (full), $13 (concession) or $11 (MQFF Members), and available online from the MQFF site.
