Final Party Tickets On Sale Friday

New Mardi Gras announced today details of how the remaining tickets to the Mardi Gras party will be sold.

A strictly limited amount of full price and concession priced tickets will go on sale at noon AET, Friday 29th February 2008 and will only be available through Ticketek Outlets and the Ticketek hotline on 132 849.

To reduce the risk of scalping, ticket sales will be limited to one per person and tickets will not be available for purchase over the internet.

Please note that the allocation of member priced tickets has been exhausted. No member priced tickets will be available in this final allocation.

New Mardi Gras Chair, Marcus Bourget, said “These tickets are not an additional release and do not represent an increase to the current agreed capacity.”

Bourget also reminded party-goers of the dangers of purchasing tickets through eBay and other internet sites.

“NMG does not agree with the scalping of tickets. It is a condition of purchase that Mardi Gras Party tickets may not be resold at a premium.

“We are currently working with our partners and are cancelling those tickets which we find are being resold at a premium.

“If you have purchased a scalped ticket, you do so at your own risk and should be aware that it may have already been cancelled.”

No tickets to the Mardi Gras party will be available on the door.
