Big Brother's Porn Scandal

Wow. It hasn’t even been one full day and already Big Brother has a sex scandal. Porn photos of 24 year old housemate Rima Hadchiti – the one metre tall belly dancer from Melbourne – are being circulated on the internet.

The explicit shots come from www.ishotmyself.com – a public art project that makes a bold statement about nudity, fame and internet. The site displays naked self-portraits, shots of “women in control of their own image. It’s also performance art, it’s fun, it’s liberating, and it’s reality.”

According to Rima’s Big Brother bio, “She’s feisty, outspoken and opinionated with a dry sense of humour. Married for just a year, Rima’s husband is excited about her decision to go into the Big Brother house. She’s a small package with a big personality.”

Rima’s husband, Carl, chatted to Big Brother hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on 2Day FM this morning about the appearance of the pictures.

“They were done a few years ago for a website that promotes celebrating a women’s body in a mature and respectful fashion,” said Carl.

The shots were done with her husband’s full consent. “She wasn’t naïve going into the house, we had the expectation they would probably surface….She’s no shrinking violet. She’s a belly dancer, she’s part of the burlesque scene, one of her previous jobs was a vibrator sales woman.”

As for any more nude pics emerging: “There’s not a Rima plus Paris Hilton romp video. We don’t have any videos,” he said, “unless someone took them without my knowledge.”
