Big Brother's New Sister
Finally we get a real live gay person in the Big Brother house! In a shameless dose of cross-promotion, Carson Kressley will be entering the house as an intruder this week. [Insert lame jokes about him using the rear entrance here.]
Kressley, who is currently hosting How To Look Good Naked on Network Ten, won’t be spending too much time in the house. He’ll just be popping in for a few hours to offer some long overdue fashion advice to the housemates.
His TV show How To Look Good Naked is all about helping women who hate their bodies learn to accept and embrace the way they look. We think the world could do with more of that message.
“What we’re trying to say is: let’s just take some action now. Change your mindset and don’t be so hard on yourself. Get out there and start living!” said Carson in a recent interview with the Sydney Morning Herald.
“You don’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. That became our mantra for the show. I just really take my [own] experience. For a long time I didn’t feel good about myself because I was growing up gay in a small town and, even after I moved to New York, you still feel a little ashamed.
“That’s what these women feel – a sense of shame. They’re not proud of who they are. And, although I have a high self-esteem problem now, in all seriousness I could relate to them not being proud of who they were.”
