Todd McKenney Is A No Show
Todd McKenney didn’t show up for his court appearance today. He was to appear at Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney today to face his drug possession charges. His lawyer did enter a plea on his behalf – not guilty.
The Dancing With The Stars and Mix 106.5 radio personality was found unconscious in Rushcutters Bay Park in Sydney’s east on the afternoon of April 25. He was found with 20 mls of GHB in his pocket.
There’s been a great deal of cynicism towards McKenney’s story that his drink was spiked and the drugs were planted on him.
“After one drink I felt very sick and then my face got hot and I had, like my ears got very, very hot and I just knew instantly that something wasn’t right,” said McKenney about the experience. Still, he’s sticking to his guns and plans to fight the charges all the way.
McKenney’s lawyer Greg Murray told media, “He’s not here, he’s been delayed.” The court has also excused McKenney from needing to be present when the case is heard again next month.
