Gay Artists And Lesbian Writers Sought
The Laird Art Competition Applications Close This Week.
Get your act together artists because you only have days left if you want to enter in what is now Victoria’s longest running Gay Art Prize, The Laird Hotel’s Men On Men Art competition.
Previous winner includes Same Same’s own Melbourne Photographer Ross Brownsdon – aka munchcrunch71 who took out the over all title back in 2005 and the photography prize last year.
Entries created within the past 12 months or less are sought from male artists across all deciplines, including photography, drawing, painting and illustration, that celebrates masculinity. Applications for the Men On Men Art competition close on Saturday 31st May 2008.
The Laird Men On Men Art Exhibition will be held from Saturday June 7th till Saturday 22nd June 2008, when the winners will be announced.

Young Lesbian Writing Competition.
Are you a young lesbian? What does your identity mean to you? How do you relate to your community? What battles have you fought and won to come out and be yourself, and is life what you thought it would be as a lesbian?
LOTL is seeking to publish the best piece of opinion, non-fiction, memoir or creative non-fiction written by a lesbian under 25 in its Generational Issue (August). Prizes will be awarded as well as publication in LOTL.
Submissions must be 1500 words or less, received via email as a Word document.
