Sweet, Sweet Charity!
Sweet Charity is a brand new event created by the promoters of Rising dayclub at Phoenix – Johan Khoury and Randel Morris, in conjunction with Slide. It’s all about raising as much dough as we can for The Luncheon Club, which is now being run by ACON and BGF. Sweet Charity is an event that’s going to rock (or at least vibrate) your world.
It’s called Sweet Charity for a few reasons. Firstly, everyone involved is donating their time. Secondly, it’s generously backed by a number of businesses who’ve donated prizes, some to the value of $1250. Thirdly, 100% of the $10 door charge goes straight to the ACON charity, which of course is where you come in.
The local businesses supporting the event include Fitness First, Star City, Altar Boyz, BANG, Soleil Tanning & Premonition. The night will be hosted by Verushka Darling and the DJs playing are Johan Khoury, Stryker, Dan Murphy, Luke Leal, Kitty Glitter, Troy Cox and Sandi Hotrod.
Also, in what will be a first for many (unless you’re partial to sitting on the washing machine while it’s on the spin cycle) Vibratronic and Megadeck will be installing a vibrating dancefloor. Now that’s cool!
Sweet Charity is going to put the fun back into fundraising! So put it in your diaries folks and lets fill the larder for The Luncheon Club! It’s a great cause and a great example of the community looking after one another.
Sweet Charity is on at Slide, 41 Oxford St, Darlinghurst, Friday 18 July from 7pm until 3am.
