David Sedaris Coming To Sydney
If you haven’t read a David Sedaris book, you simply haven’t lived. Few come close to his biting sarcasm, his wit and his ability to have you roar with laughter. His writing is proof that truth is stranger, and often much funnier, than fiction.
David Sedaris is coming to Australia to launch his new book
When You Are Engulfed In Flames. He’ll be reading from the new work and will also be signing copies afterwards at the Concert Hall, Sydney Opera House, Monday 18 August from 6.30pm.
David was originally scheduled to appear at the Metro Theatre on Monday 18 August and at Gleebooks Tuesday 19 August, however due to enthusiastic ticket sales, these two events have been cancelled and combined into the Opera House event. Ticket holders to these previously scheduled events can use their tickets to gain entry at the Opera House.
A multiple Grammy nominee and the winner of the 2001 Thurber Prize for American Humor, David Sedaris has also worked as a housecleaner and most famously, as a part-time elf for Macy’s. He is a regular contributor to Esquire and Public Radio International’s This American Life.
He’s the author of New York Times Bestseller Me Talk Pretty One Day, as well as Dress Your Family In Corduroy And Denim, The Santaland Diaries and Naked.
