Alan Jones Has Cancer
Brash radio broadcaster Alan Jones has announced that he has prostate cancer, but the news hasn’t rattled his confidence. Today Jones, 67, told reporters at a press conference “We don’t do dying here. We just do living.”
Alan believes that he’ll make a full recovery from the condition, despite doctors telling him that the cancer is in the mid-range in terms of seriousness.
He’ll undergo surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney in a couple of weeks and will be on air right up until he goes under the knife. He also plans to return to the air as soon as possible.
“You’ve just got to take things as they come,” he said of his positive attitude. “My advice to anybody… you’ve just gotta keep going, doesn’t matter in what direction. People face difficulties and adversities every day and I’m of the view that you’ve got to confront them and not yield to them and get on with life.”
