Pamela Anderson Spreads Legs For Cash
Pamela Anderson went from A-list to C-list in one foul swoop last night when she entered the Australian Big Brother house. Appearing on stage, she even performed the splits on cue for hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O.
Pammy will be an Aussie housemate for three days, and is getting paid a rumoured $500,000 fee for her time. When asked about the fee at a press conference, Pam said she was getting paid “a lot. Much more than I’m worth. I had to come. I can’t believe it.”
Her visit is not without controversy. The sweet irony is that Big Brother Australia’s major sponsor is KFC, a company that Pammy has taken head on for years over their cruel treatment of chickens. Don’t tell the sponsor, but Pam’s got KFC in her sights down under as well. “I am focused on KFC,” she said. “Every show has a bunch of sponsors and it’s not something you look into when you are offered a job. But it’s kind of interesting, it’s a coincidence… Canada has already turned their practices around for KFC. It was so simple for them to do. I think if the bosses of KFC [in Australia] knew how these animals were treated they would want practices to change. When I enter the Big Brother house I won’t have my legs broken or be scalded to death in a tank of hot water. It’s cruel.”
She said she planned to deliver a letter and video to staff at a KFC outlet on the Gold Coast, comparing her captivity in the house to chickens “crammed inside barns”.
Pamela entered the house last night and will stay here until Saturday. Unfortunately for the male members of the house, she won’t be sleeping over, instead checking into the Palazzo Versace each night she is on the Gold Coast. Housemates initially thought she was a Pamela Anderson look-a-like and refused to believe it was her. 22 year-old student Cherry seemed the most impressed, telling Big Brother he was very impressed, “Dude, she is smokin’”.
Before entering the house, Anderson did admit that she partied a little too hard for her 41st birthday in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Charlotte over the weekend. “I travel a lot and it was my birthday a few days before I came here so I visited Charlotte and saw Tommy with the kids on tour and then went to Vegas had a celebration with my friends there, so getting off the plane it was moisturise, lip-gloss and big glasses… I hate birthdays, I hate celebrating them, but my kids wanted to celebrate for me so that was really fun. They bought me four pairs of shoes, they know me well.”
We’re sure Pammy will spill more goss over the next few days locked up in the compund. In the meantime, check out her PETA video against the chicken practices of KFC. It’s not very finger lickin’ good.
