The Pope Loves Fags
It’s official. Pope Benedict XVI is not as pure and holy as he would like us to believe.
This morning on 2DayFM radio, hosts Jackie O and Kyle revealed that they had received a call from a Sydney-based bodyguard who is working on protecting the Pope while he is here for World Youth Day.
The bodyguard told them that the Pope regularly asks to be taken out of public and camera view to chain smoke up to three cigarettes in a row when no one is looking.
“We are not making this up,” said Kyle, confident in the veracity of his source. “He is chain smoking out there in the courtyard all day and all night.”
“What a revelation,” agreed Jackie, herself a fan of the cigarette. “I’m floored, I’m so shocked. I thought the Pope was pure. Who would have ever thought?”
It’s ironic that a man who heads an organisation that preaches about the sanctity of life would indulge in such a toxic habit. That’s almost as ludicrous as assuming that when Jesus said “love one another as I have loved you”, he actually meant it.
Same Same’s black campaign starts this weekend and thousands of people all around the country have committed to wearing black to take a united stand against the Pope’s stance on homosexuality. Let’s spread the word far and wide!
