Manacle Turn Up The Heat!
So it’s been almost two months since The Clarence Hotel swung open its doors and it’s been bubbling along beautifully ever since.
But venue owners Stuart and Andrew are not people who rest on their laurels. Next month they plan to step things up again with an official launch, the introduction of gay male jelly wrestling and a hot new regular Sunday party.
“We are starting the Jelly Wrestling at Manacle on Wednesday nights around mid August. We just have to finalise the dates,” says Stuart.
They’ll also be launching a regular day party called Bent – The Next Generation, which will start at 2pm and will go to 10pm, so it’s more of a day party, and less of a recovery.
“Manacle has evolved several times since 2001 when the first Manacle party was a sell out,” says Stuart. “When Bent closed on October 1 last year we guaranteed that Bent would never be the same again.”
The boys have been working hard with light and sound in the two spaces – Outbar and Manacle – and now they feel they’ve got it just about right. They’re almost ready to officially launch the place.
“We can now confidently state that we are almost ready to launch and we just can’t wait!”
