Goldfrapp Shows Announced
Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory make up the modern music icon that we know as Goldfrapp. They’re coming to Australia soon as part of the Parklife line up. It’ll be their first appearance in Australia in five years.
Today they’ve announced that they’ll be doing a couple more shows while they’re here. Goldfrapp will perform at The Palais Theatre in Melbourne Friday September 26 and The Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House Thursday October 2, 2008.
Since their formation in the late nineties Goldfrapp has taken the world on a journey, an exploration through the wonder and versatility of music with their flawless ability to combine the wonderfully avant-garde with warm, sensual and shimmering compositions and a touch of English psychedelia.
Their albums Black Cherry and Supernature were seen as two of this decade’s most influential albums and as a result catapulted Goldfrapp into the international music luminary stratosphere. With their fourth studio album, the perfect and personal Seventh Tree, Goldfrapp has managed to once again melt our hearts with their dreamy lyrics and lush melodies.
Tickets go on sale Thursday August 28, 2008.
The Sydney show is on sale only through Sydney Opera House’s online box office, Melbourne through Ticketmaster.
