Samantha's Missing Lindsay
Forget Ellen and Portia – it’s all about Lindsay Lohan and her DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson right now… At least, if the tabloids are anything to go by. Recently, according to the gossip columns, Lindsay chose to go out shopping in Manhattan with Samantha instead of going to her grandfather’s wake in Long Island.
This week Samantha spent 24 hours in Sydney, playing at an exclusive DJ gig for the Hilton Hotel, but while Lindsay was on the other side of the world, she wasn’t far from her thoughts.
“So I’m here… in Sydney, it’s my first trip here. After a super long flight I am now a day ahead of New York – kind of strange if you think about it. It’s yesterday there,” Ronson wrote on her Myspace.
She talked about her disdain for a book she’s reading at the moment – Slash’s autobiography. “I want the time back wasted on reading it – in fact I wish I was in New York so I could re-do yesterday and see someone I am missing who I must say posted a very good blog while I was flying.”
The blog she mentions is a rant from Lindsay about the American presidential election and how the country seems more obsessed with candidates’ private lives than their political policies – something she’s no doubt quite familiar with herself.
Ronson also wrote that she was looking forward to seeing a koala while in Australia. The photo on her myspace today is of her and said fauna.
While at the Hilton Ronson played a two hour set, made a quick appearance with MTV VJ Ruby Rose, before retreating to her hotel room, where she allegedly racked up a big phone bill calling Lindsay back home.
