Natalie Bassingthwaighte's Gone Solo
In Neighbours she was the character we loved to hate, but we all fell in love with Natalie Bassingthwaighte when she joined the Rogue Traders. Voodoo Child was on the tips of our tongues back in 2005 and it had us all on the dancefloor. We loved her even more after she hosted the first season of Aussie reality show So You Think You Can Dance.
Now she’s stepping out to make it as a solo recording artist with her new single Alive. Over the weekend she performed the new track at the after-party for Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert, which has returned to Sydney for another season. That’s a pretty gay way to launch a single.
In a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph Natalie said that she wants to perform at next year’s Mardi Gras, saying, “That would be a dream.” She performed at Sydney’s Sleaze Ball back in 2005 with Rogue Traders. Could she be set to return for an encore?
