Amazing Grace

Sydney Festival’s opening night party was a huge success, with an estimated 300,000 people making their way into the city to be entertained by over 600 performers across ten stages on Saturday night.

Grace Jones was the highlight, appearing on stage in the domain on time and belting out a 50 minute set, complete with amazing headwear, audience participation and a costume change between each number.

It looks like Festival First Night is here to stay. It’s a winning formula – top notch performers, all totally free, and presented in some of the city’s most gorgeous locations. How can you go wrong?

Grace was fantastic - getting the fans up on stage and abusing the security was great! She has loads of energy for 60!!
