Mardi Gras Dance Auditions

Have you got unstoppable rhythm? Feel as though you belong on the stage? Do you just wanna dance? Here is your chance to perform centre stage in a colourful, high-energy show in front of thousands!

Mardi Gras are hosting dance auditions at the end of this month and they’re looking for people with all levels of experience – professional dancers, people who have been in Mardi Gras shows before, and others who have little previous experience.

There are a number of shows throughout the Party that require dancers. Every year Mardi Gras dancers work with great choreographers and support outstanding live artists. Most of all they have a great time.

Auditions will be held January 31 at 11am and 1pm at NIDA, 215 Anzac Pde, Kensington.

Hi Jodes, yep Cam and I went. there was about 60 people trying out for the first auditions at 11am.. not sure on the 1pm turnout.. probably not as many. It was fun, a good mix of GLBT's.... some very experienced dancers, and others not so. :) We get told via email whether we get in or not. I'm not sure if I will or not. No stress if I don't. At least I gave it a shot Mr.McCool! :)

yay robbie good one you. I wish I was there.. I would have joined you.. Yes yes...I totally bailed. Here's something you didn't know about me - I really, really, REALLY don't like dancing. "Why?" I can hear 99.95% of the population scream.... Well, because, I'm extremely uncoordinated and self-conscious. Dancing makes me feel like the biggest, whitest, unco-est loser this side of broadway. And that's saying something! :) Still, was fun to see the peeps dancing. Good luck to Robbie.
