In sad news, popular Sydney DJ David Hiscock passed away from a heart-attack in the early hours of this morning.

Hiscock’s music has been a staple of Sydney’s gay scene for the past few decades, well known as the resident DJ at the Midnight Shift and for his retro sets at most Mardi Gras parties. He spent almost two decades at the Newtown Hotel as its resident DJ.

“David had the kindest heart with love for all, always had a word of encouragement and support in anything you do,” wrote his friend Dan Pearce. “David will be sadly missed by all he knew.”
