Happy Birthday To Kylie
Tomorrow is a momentous day: Kylie Minogue turns another year older and is then unmistakably, irrefutably, unashamedly over forty.
On Thursday May 28, Kylie turns 41 years old, and to celebrate Same Same and Stonewall are throwing our second annual Minogue Mansion party.
The fun starts at 9pm on Thursday night at Stonewall and there will be more Kylie goodness than could possibly be good for you. Have you ever heard of the saying “too much of a good thing”? We’ll be testing the limits of that at Minogue Mansion 2.
On the ground floor, host Verushka Darling and the Stonewall dancers will be paying tribute to Kylie’s decades of music, with non-stop Kylie played from 9pm to wish her a happy birthday.
On the first floor, celebrity DJ Geoff Field will be taking the decks from 10pm to play his favourite Kylie tunes. “I promise to be on my best behaviour this year,” Geoff told Same Same. “I might have one champagne, or maybe two at most, but I’ve got to celebrate Kylie’s birthday, right?” We’d hate for a repeat of what happened last year, with Geoff getting suspended from his newsreading role on 2DayFM after a, well, merry night.
All throughout the night, the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby will be taking donations to help them in their valiant lobbying efforts in NSW and beyond.
Minogue Mansion 2 starts at 9pm at Stonewall this Thursday night.
