Tracy Grimshaw - Not Gay (Or A Pig)

Tracy Grimshaw has publicly put an end to speculation about her sexuality, after being insulted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Over the weekend, at the Melbourne Good Food and Wine Show, Ramsay slammed the Channel Nine personality in front of an audience of several thousand, according to Fairfax Media. He described her as “a lesbian”, and then showed a picture of a naked woman, half pig, half human, with multiple breasts.

“That’s Tracy Grimshaw,” said Ramsay. “I had an interview with her yesterday, holy crap. She needs to see Simon Cowell’s Botox doctor.”

Ramsay’s publicist defended the comments afterwards, saying that they were a joke. But Tracy’s not laughing. And nor should she.

“Truly I wonder how many people would laugh if they were effectively described as an old, ugly pig. How is that funny exactly? And worse, it’s not even witty,” said Grimshaw on Monday night’s A Current Affair.

“Gordon Ramsay made me promise not to ask on Friday about his private life. He then got on stage on Saturday and made some very clear and uninformed insinuations about mine. Obvious Gordon thinks that any woman who doesn’t find him attractive must be gay. For the record, I don’t. And I’m not.”

Grimshaw said that she was ‘absolutely miserable’ when she heard about the jibes. “He says it’s a joke. Well, not to me or anyone who cares about me… We all know that bullies thrive when no-one takes them on, and I’m not going to sit meekly and let some arrogant narcissist bully me.”

Both are publicity seeking media whores .Being a public figure makes you fair game so if either cannot take it retire from public life. What upset me was the homophobia by channel 9 and grimshaw creating innuendo that being a lesbian is something to be ashamed of.Perhaps this is channel 9's reaction to home and aways controversial lesbian kiss....the ratings haven't hurt them.

She was quite rightly pissed off about the 'Cold old pig' comment. She was simply stating that she wasn't gay. I don't think she would be ashamed of it if she was, but she's in her full rights to clear that up and end the speculation. If she was, I'm sure she would say she was lesbian too.

Everyone's so worried about Tracy but no one seems to have noticed that Ramsay publicly vilified lesbians which is illegal in Australia and Tracy was so worried someone might think she was one, she didn't defend us either. Rampant heterosexism! And what have the poor pigs done to deserve all this vilification?

I admit, I'm not a big fan of Tracy Grimshaw - I don't like what she's made of ACA these days - but for someone to vilify her for no apparent reason? Totally not cool in my book. Good on her for smacking down Gordon Ramsey.

Tracey's not gay! THANK FUCK! Do we really want her? The queen of trashy, doorstop journalism... this all looks like just another publicity stunt to me... besides we know how annoying and smarmy these "Current Affairs" hosts are off camera... ie "chasers expose of Anna "Bloody" Coren... We really can't become more intelligent as a nation until we rid ourselves of "Current Affairs" programs...
