Sydney Pride and SameSame.com.au are teaming up for a brand new party concept for Sydney. It involves 7 venues along the same street, and 1 massive party!

Called the One Way Street Party, it’s taking place on Friday June 26 on Oxford Street and, for the first time ever, some of the best gay venues on the strip will be uniting to throw parties at venues up and down the street.

The One Way Street Party takes place at Slide, Gilligans, Stonewall, Columbian, Polo Lounge, Nevermind, The Gaff and the Oxford. For one night of the year, all of these venues will be coming together for a massive party to celebrate Sydney Pride and the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

For an entry fee of $10 at any of the venues on Friday June 26, you will receive a red wristband that will give you free entry at all of the One Way Street Party venues, as well as drinks specials on the night just by flashing your band. Each venue will be putting on something special to make the Street Party fun, with entertainment and shows to entertain you as you work your way up and down the strip. We’ll be revealing details of what’s on at each venue over the coming weeks.

The One Way Street Party is a Sydney Pride event that will be raising money for local charities that traditionally find it hard to fundraise, including Kids With Aids, Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, Luncheon Club and the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service. The $10 wristband will go directly to these charities.

The One Way Street Party is our little way of painting Oxford Street completely pink for the night and celebrating as one during Pride.

Once all the fun has stopped, Perfect Day will be hosting the official One Way Street Party recovery the next day, with discounts to red wristband wearers.
