Rural Forum Registrations Open

Registrations are now open for the ALSO Foundation’s Rural Forum Program that is set to take place in Ballarat on June 25th and 26th 2009.

The rural forum is designed to bring together members of our community outside the city, giving people a chance to gather, network, share experiences and explore opportunities in a positive environment to further improve the lives of queer people who live and work in rural areas. The forum aims to promote the needs of queer folk in the country and the improvement of awareness of available support systems and services. It is also a vital professional development opportunity for those interested in enhancing service delivery to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Intersex and Transgender community members.Workers and researchers involved in the sector will present key information in identified areas of concern for the GLBTIQ community living in country Victoria.

The ALSO Foundation is now in its third decade of celebrating, advocating, leading and investing in Victoria’s diverse gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer communities.
