Sacha Baron Cohen has landed in Australia for the Australian premiere of his latest movie Bruno and he’s remaining in character the entire time he’s here. Last night he appeared on Rove and in 15 short minutes managed to look down Rove’s underpants, make jokes about Hitler being more of a bitch than Elton and strip Rove practically naked.

Queen of the publicity stunt, Bruno also told the audience about his attraction to Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, saying “That guy – I saw him backstage – so hot… You guys have got the hottest Prime Minister.” Bruno then added that he could picture a future with ‘Ruddy’. “He’s massaging my feet in the bath. It could never happen. Could it?”
The normally bold co-hosts of the show, Dave Hughes and Peter Helliar, looked terrified and spent the entire segment in silence.
Bruno’s film premieres in Sydney tonight and opens in cinemas worldwide from July 9.
