The 3rd annual Outrate Online Short Film Festival offers up and coming film makers a great opportunity – you can show your work to the world and get personal appraisal from their judging panel of industry professionals.
“This year I’m really excited about the judging panel. It’s the best ever, with great judges from all over the world,” says Mark Adnum, publisher of Outrate.net, “including Deven Green who is the creator of the Brenda Dickson Welcome To My Home parodies; Matthew Rettenmund, author of Boy Culture, Matt Thomas, editor of Fab (Canada) and Sydney gay short film maker Craig Boreham, who won last year’s Outrate Online Short Film Festival.”
Entry to the festival is free. All entries are screened at Outrate.net for two months, after which finalists are chosen. Finalists are given personal feedback by the judges and prizes are currently being finalised.
“It’s a great festival for up and coming gay film makers around the world and always attracts lots of happy traffic. Also, it’s a fun resource for people who want to log on and watch the films!” says Mark.
Short films must be digital files or uploaded to a third-party media website such as YouTube or DailyMotion. Entries close July 29. For more information check out the festival page here. (Some ads on the page are NSFW)
