Survey Seeks Input On Education Campaign

So, the federal government have made the changes to 85 pieces of discriminatory legislation, now it’s time for all of those changes to be explained to us.

The government is putting $350,000 behind a campaign to increase awareness and understanding of our new rights and responsibilities, which is to be run by the National LGBT Health Alliance, a coalition of LGBT health organisations across Australia, led by ACON.

The campaign team are running an online survey to try and find out the best ways for that money to be spent, so that the project is as effective as possible.

“We want to better understand how LGBT people are responding to the legislative reforms,” said Alliance Executive Director Gabi Rosenstreich in a statement. “We want to know their thoughts and feelings about the changes as well as how, when and where we can provide them with useful information. We’d like to hear from everyone – whether you are in a relationship or not.”

The survey is online now and will be live until Tuesday 22 September 2009, 5pm. Jump onboard and contribute your thoughts.
