Dicko No Fatso

Move over Magda, Australian Idol judge Ian `Dicko’ Dickson is the latest name to sign on as the face of Jenny Craig weight loss program.

Currently weighing in at 104 kilos, Dicko aims to shed 15kgs off his frame to get rid of his man boobs and lead a healthier life for his two children. “I knew I was carrying a little more than I should have,” Dickson said.”I absolutely refuse to give in to middle age – I’ve got a hell of a lot of living to do yet.”

The 46 year-old famously hit the headlines in 2003 when he told Australian Idol contestant Paulini Curuenavuli to “choose more appropriate clothes or shed some pounds.” The controversy that erupted from those comments pitted many people against Dicko.

The Idol judge follows in fine footsteps becoming the new face of Jenny Craig. He is hot on the heels of Magda Szubanski who lost 25 kilograms with her slimmed down physique.

I thought this article was going to be about Dicko outing the Idol contestant... Shouldn't the Jenny Craig peeps choose bigger people to lose weight? Dicko doesn't seem that big to start off with...

Nothing against Dicko personally, but he's just not the kind of person that makes interesting TV. Magda at least has personality.

i don't think he's really there for personality. he's there to give advice to the Idols on how they can better their performance. for personality they throw in some JD, Andrew G, and Ricki Lee. Christ, that wasn't supposed to rhyme like that.. haha.

Started on Idol, jumped ship to Channel 7 for more money, failed over there, came out as a drunk, re-joined Channel 10 & is now on fat patrol diet kick. He's very human: I think that's why he's so popular. The fact he's so common is what people relate to, his interest factor comes from his lack of celebrity vibe.
