Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles will be coming to Sydney to play a DJ set at Nevermind’s Saturday F#cking Night on January 16.

Knowles is currently in Australia recording her new album with electro pop duo the Midnight Juggernauts among others. This will be her only gay gig while she’s in town.

In 2008 Solange had success with her breakthrough single I Decided, which reached the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. Much like Dannii Minogue, Solange is always compared by the media to her sister, whom she considers one of her role models. In one of her tracks God Given Name she sings about her sibling rivalry, saying, “I’m not her and never will be.”

“People think there should be this great rivalry between us, but there’s never been any competition. There’s a big age gap and we are two very different characters,” Knowles said in an interview with UK’s Daily Mail.

Doors open at 10pm, and Solange is behind the decks at 11pm, followed by a meet and greet session for her fans. To win your way into the meet and greet click here. Entry is $15 before midnight, and $20 after.
