Avenue Q Hits Brisbane
While Brisbane will host many stage shows this year, few will be quite as fun, riotous and deliciously twisted as the Tony Award winning Avenue Q.
Described as an X-rated mix of South Park, The Muppet Show and Sesame Street, you can expect to hear classic numbers from the show like The Internet is for Porn, If You Were Gay and Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist.
Opening in Broadway in 2003, it has won awards for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score, is still a hit on Broadway and is playing its fourth year in London’s West End.
Proceeds from the Brisbane premiere are going to the Queensland Association for Healthy Communities (QAHC), who do a so much great work for Brisbane’s GLBTI community.
