Hayley's an X-Factor stunner

Last night’s episode of The X-Factor featured another contestant coming out – and blowing the judges away with a killer performance.

20-year-old Hayley Teal travelled all the way from Adelaide to the show’s Brisbane auditions, where she sang How Come You Don’t Call Me? by Alicia Keys.

The judges said a resounding ‘yes’ after she belted out the hit song and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

“You are the best we’ve seen so far,” said Kyle Sandilands from the judging panel, before asking if she had a boyfriend at home.

“Girlfriend,” Teal corrected him.

“Well you’d better tell her… it’s so obvious you’ll be staying with us for a while,” Sandilands replied.

See Hayley’s X-Factor audition below.

The first episode of the talent show had featured an emotional coming out story as Brunei-born Harry Abu risked his father disowning him after revealing his supportive male partner on the show.

Same Same later chatted to the talented 36-year-old who said he was overwhelmed with the response he’d gotten to his TV performance and story. Read about him here.

The X-Factor continues on channel 7 weeknights at 7:30pm.

Gezzuz kryist.... Does Kyle have to be such a prick? I know he manipulates the situation for "effect" but really, he's a total waste of space. Sorry, not going to watch this crap at all (well, despite not being in the country and all for the next two months) - good luck Hayley, I hope you get some respect but I doubt commercial television in this country will allow it. Great voice, hugely talented, hope it's not wasted by those that seek to make a quick buck out of her.

He actually wasn't a prick in this. Although he normally is quite repulsive, but that's why he's popular.

She sings purdy. :D

unfortunately it did.

can't see any of these remaining contestants really having much of a career beyond the winning single.
