Last night’s episode of The X-Factor featured another contestant coming out – and blowing the judges away with a killer performance.
20-year-old Hayley Teal travelled all the way from Adelaide to the show’s Brisbane auditions, where she sang How Come You Don’t Call Me? by Alicia Keys.
The judges said a resounding ‘yes’ after she belted out the hit song and received a standing ovation from the crowd.
“You are the best we’ve seen so far,” said Kyle Sandilands from the judging panel, before asking if she had a boyfriend at home.
“Girlfriend,” Teal corrected him.
“Well you’d better tell her… it’s so obvious you’ll be staying with us for a while,” Sandilands replied.

The first episode of the talent show had featured an emotional coming out story as Brunei-born Harry Abu risked his father disowning him after revealing his supportive male partner on the show.
Same Same later chatted to the talented 36-year-old who said he was overwhelmed with the response he’d gotten to his TV performance and story. Read about him here.
The X-Factor continues on channel 7 weeknights at 7:30pm.
