Brisbane has been bustling with all things Pride and the celebrations are nowhere near over.
On Sunday, Cloudland shone with gold for the 50th annual Queen’s Ball awards.
Check out all Same Same’s photos from the glam night out here.
Every year the Queen’s Ball recognises members of the community and this year was no different. From activists to entertainers, the night was a chance to not only recognise but also to celebrate the many contributions made to the LGBT community.
It came as no surprise that Shelley Argent was awarded Activist Of The Year for her constant work for marriage equality, while Neil McLucas the long term bar proprietor of the Sportsman Hotel was awarded the Life Achievement Award for his endless contributions to the Queensland LGBT community.

Needless to say a big congratulations must be given to not just the award winners but also to the other award nominees for their endless contributions to our community.
Without their endless hours and time spent in pursuit of making our community a better place, our diverse and colourful LGBT community would not be what is today.
Here at SameSame.com.au we’d like to say a big THANKYOU to all the winners for all they do in our diverse communities.
