Julia Gillard will be in Brisbane this Saturday to address the ALP State Conference, and Equal Love is planning to present her with a sample of petitions for gay marriage from the nearly quarter of a million signatures that has been collected so far.

Equal Love is calling on all supporters to come along and show their support for marriage equality.

The Prime Minister recently accepted, in person, petitions from the The Australian Christian Lobby. When a self proclaimed atheist can accept petitions from religious groups, she shouldn’t have a problem accepting petitions from supporters of marriage equality, right?

Equal Love is wanting to use this opportunity to remind her that petitions from our side represent the majority of Australians and they’re planning to do this as loudly and of course as colourfully as possible.

So this Saturday be sure to join the masses at the ALP state conference as Equal Love and their supporters declare marriage equality.
