Famous internationally renowned Les Girls drag queen Carlotta is set to be depicted in a mini series based on her Kings Cross career.

Freemantle Media are currently creating the series and have yet to begin official casting, but words along the rumour mill have however tipped Courtney Act to land at least part of of the “Carlotta” role.

For those living under a rock, Courtney Act became a household name after appearing on Australian Idol, and since then she has become one of Australia’s most well known drag queen to date.

According to a report in Sydney Confidential, Shane Jenek aka Courtney Act has said he recently met Carlotta and got her blessing, to play the Kings Cross showgirl prior to her sex-operation.

However, it is understood that Carlotta, who will be acting as wardrobe and makeup consultant on the series, is determined to have Jessica Marais to play her “post-op”, despite the fact that Marais is yet to show interest in the role. Either way, I have to say this is a role that Courtney Act was born to play.

So for now we’ll just have to wait for the official casting, and in the meantime Courtney Act is taking a sea-change to West Hollywood next month to further her career. There is no denying, there is a bight future for the boy that got knocked back on Australian Idol, then slipped on a frock to take on the world.
