Missed out on attending your prom? Well here’s your chance to relive history with Show Your Bones presenting Queer Prom 2011 in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Show Your Bones is returning for a special prom themed night of fun. Featuring live acts by Harming Monica and DJs Jane Doe, Twincest and Annie Lou, this will be a night to hear all your favourite indie, hip hop, rock and alternative tracks while you dance your queer prom night away. Hopefully a night without Carrie. Okay, I had to make at least one pop culture reference!

Dress up, bring a date or two, get your special prom night photos taken and enjoy a queer friendly night that will be plagued with numerous surprises and the presenting of Prom King and Queen.

The event will be held at Basement 243 in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley on Saturday the 9th of July, will begin at 8pm and run until late. Entry will be $10.

Show Your Bones is one of Brisbane’s new queer-friendly events, and word is they have some pretty exciting things planned for the future. So be sure to check it out and support the people putting the effort to bring something new to Brisbane.
