Snoop Kirby Gets Jiggy

High Court justice Michael Kirby can now add a new line to his CV – rapper. Recently he attended an opening at the Melbourne Arts Centre, where he donned a bright yellow blazer and rapped with local rapper Elf Tranzporter.

According to 365gay, Kirby rapped about gay rights, in response to the new Victorian domestic partner registry which will be in place by the end of this year.

“We believe that the days of exclusion are numbered,” rapped the High Court judge. “The days of fusion are come; In our world, everything can find its place. ‘By our lives, let us all be an example of respect for human rights; Fusion, not exclusion.”

The 300 strong audience gave a round of applause for the rap, the words of which originated from his 2002 speech for the Sydney Gay Games.

We like that he was adventurous enough to try something different, but lets hope he doesn’t give up his day job.
