When Jayne Lilford took to the stage on the X-Factor on last night’s episode, her family, best mate and girlfriend were all there to cheer her on.

The 27-year-old is currently a traffic controller from Kyabram in Victoria, but says her dream is have a music career: “I think I’m a star ready to shine.”

And after she sang Adele’s powerful ballad Rolling In The Deep, the talent show’s judges wholeheartedly agreed.

“It’s amazing you’re a traffic controller, because if you ever wanna stop traffic, just open your mouth,” summed up judge Guy Sebastian. “That is such a gift.”

Hard to win-over fellow judge Mel B agreed. “You just set the standard [points to sky] way up there!”
