The UK’s longest-serving gay magazine is marking its landmark 400th issue with four celebratory covers – and one of them features our own true-blue out Aussie Olympic diver Matt Mitcham.

The other three GT (Gay Times) covers feature actor Sir Ian McKellen, out British singer and model Joe McElderry – and the world’s most famous female gay icon Lady Gaga.

The special editions, out in UK stories and digitally this week, celebrate 37 years of the publication, from its humble beginnings in 1974 as HIM Magazine, the UK’s first newsstand title for gay men.

Its sportsman coverstar was delighted to meet Queen Elizabeth II during her royal visit last week. Along with ‘Supermum’ Shelley Argent, Mitcham was in Canberra’s Parliament House to meet the Queen and Prince Phillip.
