Tomorrow it’s Canberra’s turn to welcome its LGBTI families and friends to a fun and free day of picnics and activities in the park.
SpringOut Fairday, happening on the lawn of Westlund House, is Canberra’s biggest gay community event, celebrating the diversity, colour and vibrancy of the city. And the weather looks sure to be fine and sunny.
“We’re expecting an even bigger crowd than last year – don’t miss it for anything,” says the SpringOut crew.
“There’ll be tons of stalls from businesses and community groups. It will be a great day to find out what is going on in the Canberra queer community, as well as pick up some great gifts. Lots of great food including delicious cakes and sweet things, gourmet ice-cream, of course a sausage sizzle, cold drinks and hot coffee!”
Entertainment includes the Canberra Gay and Lesbian Qwire, the wonderful Julie Maynard, Miss Tammy Paks and the fabulous pet parade – to show off your pets of all shapes and sizes.
Same Same will be there snapping photos at Canberra’s SpringOut Fairday on Saturday afternoon – see you there!
