The guys and girls from a new trend-setting online and mobile service for gay Sydney certainly got a lot of attention at Fair Day on Sunday – perhaps because the Urban Society guys forgot to wear anything but purple undies.

The UrbanQ web portal launched in recent weeks, offering an exclusive, homegrown guide to Sydney. Gay news and views mingle with details of the best local places to wine and dine, spas, travel destinations, style pointers, outdoor activities and online shopping opportunities.
Among the offers available this week are discounted tickets to Nevermind’s Mardi Gras Parade Viewing Party and specials on underwear from The Pantless Postman.
“From pop-up shops to parties, urban eateries or decadent getaways, we’re devoted to hunting down offers on the best events and experiences happening in your city – so you don’t have to,” say the UrbanQ team. The site is now live and a mobile app is in the works.
