If you’re partial to a bit of sand up your jaxy and don’t mind bus loads of Japanese tourists eyeing you off as you do Bondi Beach in drag, then the Mardi Gras Drag Races tomorrow has your name written all over it.

Hosted and co-created by Vanessa Wagner, this truly unorthodox sporting event sees drag queens, drag kings, transglam fashionistas and cross dressers from the ‘burbs descend on Bondi and flip the iconic beach on its back and hump it with various versions of drag.

Spilling over with camp categories including the Cork Wedgies, Dowdy Court Shoes and Kitten Heel divisions, this sporting abomination under the sun will shock onlookers, awaken closeted bystanders and tantalise married men who get rock hard over fellas in frocks.

“This is the perfect high profile event for budding exhibitionists who aren’t afraid to get sand in their crack,” says the event’s biological mother and infamous host Vanessa Wagner.

“It’s not only a great excuse to slip on a frock and sprint across an unstable surface, it’s also a prime opportunity to make innocent bystanders blush.”
